“My life continues to be impacted from the incredible adventure I had at Joshua Tree when I was in high school. In a society constantly inundated with technology, noise, and being busy, I’m so grateful I encountered solitude, insightful discussions, paradigm shifts, and renewed centeredness in nature. This trip offers the unique, invaluable experience of connecting with God, yourself, others, and creation. You are able to attempt new challenges, gain self-confidence, and reconnect with the kingdom of heaven. I have been blessed with an enriched educational experience at Dana Hills High School, UCLA, and Azusa Pacific University Nursing School. However, the insights, challenges, and growth from Joshua Tree stand out as one of the highlights in my education. This trip truly is a vital, life-giving experience that every student should have the opportunity to encounter. Ten years later, I still reflect on the lessons learned, and yearn to return!”
