“The story of any one of us is the story of us all.” - Fredrick Buechner

The Journey of 1000 days is intended to be a pilgrimage, a journey toward Spiritual transformation.

We believe that the authentic spiritual journey involves more than sitting in a pew for an hour or two each week.

We believe that it involves all aspects of our lives: intellectual, social, physical ...

We believe that the success of our journey is evidenced in the joy of our laughter, the depth or our loving, and the faithfulness of our friendships... as well as in the reality of our sorrow and the empathy of our tears.

Eddie and I decided to enter into this journey together and, to our best ability - with lots of grace and forgiveness - hold each other accountable for the journey. Our writings have been our attempt to share our triumphs and our struggles in hopes it would inspire others to join in the journey. As we have encountered epiphanies while working or working out, we have attempted to share them with the hope that you will begin to journal and journey with us.

From time to time we have shared stories from other travelers who have written their experiences and sent them to us. We have found them so wonderfully inspiring to us ... we figured it is time to open up the forum to anyone who wants to share their story.

If you’re interested in sharing your story, or insights on this journey, please let us know. You can contact us through this site, email (team@summitascent.org), or Facebook. We look forward to working with you.
